Mr. A. N. Ramachandra
Mr. Ramachandra began teaching undergraduate students in 1982 and switched over to Administrative career with Navodaya under MHRD, Govt of India in 1991. He then went on to be the Joint Commissioner within Academic Support Team of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, overseeing full scholarships to 2 lakh talented children across 600 residential schools in the country every year. Currently, Ramachandra is the Head of Administration at the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India, Bangalore.
Ramachandra’s leadership over a span of 25 years includes: Registrar of International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore; Deputy Registrar of the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar; spear headed ICT in education, curriculum development and textbook writing committee of NCERT; and as main functionary in establishing a New IIT. He has won many accolades for ICT implementation and quality improvement in school education and school administration. He has passionately advocated for better and improved learning methods in school system. He championed for art education in schools and was instrumental in creating popular platform for performing arts and fine arts in schools. He continues to share his passion for innovative methods to quality public education and ways to enrich youth development and training.
Mr. Ramachandra has graduate degrees in Business Management from Mysore University, Commerce from Mangalore University, Law from Delhi University. He received leadership training from CEMD and IIM Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Kolkata.
